> 字典 数据库引擎将已配置的字典以只读表的形式暴露出来。

# 字典

`Dictionary` 数据库引擎会将每个已配置的[字典](/zh/reference/statements/create/dictionary)暴露为一张只读表。当查询需要使用普通表语法读取或 JOIN 字典数据时，该引擎非常有用。

## 创建数据库

```sql theme={null}
CREATE DATABASE dictionaries
ENGINE = Dictionary;
```

## 用法

创建该数据库后，即可将已配置的字典名称用作表名：

```sql theme={null}
SELECT *
FROM dictionaries.products;
```

该数据库本身不包含任何表。它的表即为服务器上配置的字典，因此不支持在该数据库中创建、删除或修改表。字典本身请通过 [`CREATE DICTIONARY`](/zh/reference/statements/create/dictionary) 或服务器配置进行管理。
